Už od dětství se ode mě očekávalo, že jednoho dne stanu v čele svého rodu. Možná i proto jsem vystudoval vietnamistiku na FF UK, abych lépe porozuměl své mateřské kultuře. Na portrétu držím česko-vietnamský slovník – pro mě symbol klíče, který otevírá cestu mezi dvěma jazyky, kulturami i generacemi. Věřím, že právě jazyk a komunikace jsou mostem k porozumění. Proto se dnes věnuji marketingu a vedu organizaci Viet Up, která propojuje mladé Vietnamce a vytváří projekty přínosné jak pro naši komunitu, tak pro českou společnost.
Từ nhỏ, mọi người đã kỳ vọng sau này mình sẽ trở thành trưởng họ. Có lẽ cũng vì thế mà mình đã học ngành Việt Nam học ở Đại học Tổng hợp Sắc Lơ để hiểu rõ hơn về văn hoá gốc của mình. Trong ảnh chân dung, mình cầm một quyển từ điển Séc – Việt. Với mình, đây là biểu tượng của một chiếc chìa khoá – mở ra con đường giữa hai ngôn ngữ, hai nền văn hoá và cả hai thế hệ. Mình tin rằng ngôn ngữ và giao tiếp chính là cây cầu dẫn đến sự thấu hiểu. Vì thế mà hiện tại mình làm việc trong lĩnh vực marketing và điều hành tổ chức Viet Up – nơi kết nối các bạn trẻ người Việt và tạo ra những dự án có ích cho cả cộng đồng của mình lẫn xã hội Séc.
Since childhood, it was expected that one day I would become the head of my family line. Perhaps that’s why I studied Vietnamese Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University to better understand my native culture. In the portrait, I’m holding a Czech-Vietnamese dictionary. For me, it’s a symbol of a key that opens the path between two languages, cultures, and generations. I believe that language and communication are bridges to understanding. That’s why I now work in marketing and lead the organization Viet Up, which connects young Vietnamese and creates projects that benefit both our community and Czech society.
